America's Albino Doberman Breeding Industry
Albino
Doberman Pinscher breeding is a cruel modern day plague that
continues to painfully torture thousands of innocent animals
everyday in the United States. Where are the animal rights
people on this issue? Where are our responsible Doberman breeders
on this issue? Why are "Puppy's For Sale" websites and
local newspapers continuing to advertise for these breeder-bandits?
If there ever was a case for American breeders, kennels and
dog lovers to get together and unite on common ground, this is it.
Doberman albino breeding is much more pervasive in mainstream
America than most people realize. If someone were exclusively
breeding sick human beings who were all diseased with diabetes or
cancer, wouldn't you think they should be stopped and fined or
imprisoned? Well, this is what we have with the Z factor
Doberman. These poor sick Dobermans and their pups
are the product of bad breeding practices. And
unscrupulous breeders are still breeding and selling these
genetically sick pups as fancy white Dobermans when in fact there is no such
animal. The Doberman Pinscher's Club of America does not
acknowledge a white Doberman, except for albinos. Beautiful as puppies but as they grow
in age they experience hair loss, painful skin disease and worsening
eye sight. The typical albino breeder will see
their pup's eyes constantly squinting in pain but they somehow never feel that
pain of their squinting little puppy litters. These pups will
eventually go blind if kept in the sunlight and not indoors. As vet bills pile up many of these dogs
waste away and die in backyards without attention or care.
These
white Doberman breeders are nonconformists who irresponsibly sell their sick
dogs to a naive general public on a vast national scale for $200,
$300 or as much as they can get. It's all about the money no
matter what else these breeders tell you. Albino breeders are
either in denial or they are delusional or they just damn don't
care. These strange people range from the seemingly educated
who live in their own fantasy world of, "if I could just breed two more
generations, I'll have created the perfect healthy white Doberman",
to the dumb-ass-hillbilly who wouldn't know a well bred
Doberman Pinscher if one walked up behind him and bit him on the
ass!
Z Factored Dobermans
Not
all Z factored Dobermans are white or "cream" or "golden" as these
breeders
may call them, and most albino carriers look like totally normal Dobermans, but all Z
Factors
will eventually throw a white pup or white litter. The
Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA) asks that these Z Factors
be spay or neutered. If you own one,
please keep him indoors, love him, pamper him and protect them but
please spay or neuter
them. By the way, not all of these albinos and Z Factor
carriers have a WZ
prefix on their AKC registration number. Some may have the
prefixes WS, WE, WF, WP, etc and the only possible way we have to check the status of
a Doberman from the street is to check his pedigree against the
(no return outside link):
Z LIST. If you are buying a new Doberman puppy locally off the street,
please check his pedigree with the Z
LIST before you make the purchase. (You may follow the
Z links here or the Z List can be found
on the DPCA website.) His albino ancestors, if they
exist, will certainly be listed there. You may be saving
yourself a big vet expense and maybe saving yourself a lot of
personal grief by checking this list before you buy.
A Doberman puppy without registration papers in America today will
almost always mean albino or albino carrier. The
introduction of the modern European Doberman Pinscher in America may
very well help us re-establish a new universal recognition of what
the Doberman Standard is or should be here. Trying
to be knowledgeable of Doberman pedigrees is a must in today's
Doberman Pinscher world and even if the Z list checks out
fine I'm still not breeding to a blue or a fawn.
Skin disease anyone? I'm a purist. Let's keep the breed pure Black
& Rust or pure Red
& Rust! Brown instead of red as the Europeans see it.
In the
past 30 years irresponsible breeders have bastardized the
American Doberman Pinscher causing strange colors, albinos and the
loss of their working dog DNA!
Simply put, for all the
years of giving albino Doberman breeders their official AKC
registration papers, the AKC has single handedly ruined the American
Doberman Pinscher forever.
Sadly,
the reality to this is that the AKC still registers albino
Dobermans.
The AKC will register any dog of the same breed parents who are
already registered with the AKC so long as the AKC can get their
fee. The spread of this painful illness to hundreds of
new albino
litters each year seems to not bother the AKC, just give the AKC
their money because they don't care about the rest of it!
Again: The AKC could care less if these sick dogs are being bred and
sold because the AKC is only paying
attention to collecting their money. It's all about the
money and not the breed. So what are we supposed to do
with that? This is insane. When the American
Kennel Club registers an albino Doberman they are promoting the sale
of painfully ill animals, many who hurt everyday and
this is costing the naive
albino buyer-owner a
bundle in vet bills, not to mention making it possible for outlaw
albino breeders to be official AKC breeders. It's a
frustrating situation when albino breeders continue to make money
selling genetically sick animals with the benefit of being a bona fide AKC breeder. These irresponsible breeders are the reason we have albino Dobermans in
the first place. Also these type of breeders are absolutely
responsible for the total devastation of the American Dobermans'
loss of working dog DNA.
The working dog aspect of the American Doberman is all but gone.
This is why European Dobermans are our only avenue to save the breed
in the USA now.
If the European
Doberman is to now take the American Doberman's place here then we
need to breed only black & rust and red & rust Doberman Pinschers
with no other exceptions for color and we need to stop the AKC from
registering albinos. Why would
anybody who owns an expensive quality Doberman or Doberman kennel want to
continue a relationship with any kennel club where bad genetics are
officially allowed to be spread to healthy animals.
I can tell you they will not. Doberman owner's may have to move away from the AKC
one day just to protect the good health of their pups from a
neglectful un-caring
system of money grabbers.
This matter will not go away until either the AKC changes it's
policy or the European Doberman Pinscher has been forever ruined
just like it's American cousin.
